What the Mods are and do in Nunlock
ALL THESE MODS ARE DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK! We will not be held responsible for any data loss. We just give you options to make your phone complete. These mods can be removed from the remove programs menu in settings.
NOTE: Most of these mods require a reboot of your phone. If the Mod doesn't seem like it is working reboot your phone and than try again.
Mail Move:
This moves mail and attachments from your phones memory to the SD card, which frees up your phones memory. When you use this copy your messages over from “\storage\windows\messaging” to “\storage card\mail”.
If you don’t copy it that is fine also any new messages will be on the SD and old on the phone. Once copied over to the SD the files in the “\storage\windows\messaging” folder can be removed but keep the folder intact.
Ring Tone Delay:
This removes the 3 second ring tone delay on custom ring tones.
SMS:
This enables SMS sending
while still in the
SMS Rename:
This will rename the “Text Messaging” to “SMS Messaging” as it should be
Splash Screens:
This allows you to change all the splash screens to what you would like to have. Samples are included. To change the samples to your own splash screens edit the files located in the “\storage\My Documents\Splash_Screens” folder. Be sure to keep the names intact as the system points to the file names in the directory. So if you replace it or edit them make sure to always rename to the same name or overwrite the files. Install this mod to the phone or the splash screens can’t load on boot cause SD card is NOT able to be accessed on bootup.
In-Service Beep:
This disabled the in-service beep on your phone. With this if you go in and out of a Nextel service area the phone will not beep each time.
Looping Alarm:
This will loop your alarm and keep on alerting you till you turn it off. Just watch your battery on this one cause if left alone it will keep going off till your battery dies.
Keylight:
This is handy to save your battery life, it turns off the key lights.
Low battery beep:
This disabled the low battery beep on the phone. Yes the display still shows but at least it is quiet now.
Call Drop Beep:
This disabled the call drop beep on the phone.
IE Temp files:
This will move all the temporary files used my Internet Explorer from the phones memory to your SD card once again freeing up more memory on the phone.
LED Test:
This application is to change the color of the status light on the i930.
VNC:
This program is to connect to a PC running the VNC server, which can also be downloaded for free. This program is being distributed under the GNU license and all text files and license has been included in the VNC folder on your start menu. You can download the PC version at http://www.realvnc.com/ this version of VNC for the SmartPhone is located at http://dotnetvnc.sourceforge.net/ if you would like to read more about it.
All these Mods can be uninstalled very easy, go to settings and hit more till you see remove programs. They are all listed as Mods and the mod name.
